Hello from Rwanda,

We are having some problems posting to the blog...so will keep up to date via comments. I have an e-mail account just for this trip...connieinrwanda@yahoo.com...for personal messages.

We are staying in a vey nice guest house near the city of Kigali run by Solice Missions. We have a lovely view of the surrounding hills and the land actually reminds me of Santa Barbara without the ocean views.

We have met some amazing people who are doing wonderful work with the Rwandan people. Quite a few from Germany. The first people we met at the guest house were a middle school group biking their way through Rwanda and they were from Santa Barbara! We are planning a project together towards the end of our trip.

Today, we are going to visit the Genocide Museum and then to an orphan village that is being sponsored by a group of Germans.

Our first class sessions start tomorrow morning with a group of orhan head of households.

More tomorrow...

Connie

Good Evening, Connie
Happy to hear you are safe and sound in Rwanda.
You are an amazing lady as they will get the benefits of seeing. I am sure your days will be full of joy from all the hard work that is ahead of you and your friend.
I know God has sent a special person to Rwanda to help the orhans. I am sure you will come back more blessed in many ways than you dreamed possible.
Take Care, Love Jeanne
